Description: Turn tough plastic food packaging into a one-of-a-kind tote bag! Students will learn how to cut, arrange, and piece together unexpected shapes and sizes, then use decorative stitching to transform true waste into something beautiful and functional. Line your bag with fabric or repurpose a cotton or linen garment for a fully sustainable, eco-friendly tote — proof that trash can become treasure with a little creativity.

Supplies that students will bring:
- Bag: Coffee bags, and other food bags made from Polypropylene or very durable plastic. (12-15 bags) Please bring wiped & washed inside and out.
- Lining: 1 yard of cotton or linen, or a large shirt or skirt that can be cut out.
- Sewing Machine with size 12 or 14 needles
- All Purpose Thread
- Denim/Quilt Thread for top stitching (optional)
- Fabric Shears
- Paper Scissors
