We all had a great time in Yakima, and at the Saturday dinner and keynote address everyone was asking, “So, who’s hosting the next one?”

Well, we can finally announce that the Portland Handweavers Guild will be hosting the ANWG 2027 Conference. The Holiday Inn – Columbia Riverfront has been booked for June 14 – 19, 2027. Many more details will be coming soon, including the conference theme, colors, and committee chairs.

Planning for the conference is well underway, and we’re really excited about it. You can help us make this conference a success by telling your favorite instructors that you want to see them in Portland in 2027, and invite them to submit an application to teach at the conference.

The deadline for instructor applications and session proposals has passed. Late entries will be reviewed after the initial submissions have been processed, and acceptance will depend on space, suitability, and uniqueness. See Call for Instructors for call details and forms.

Would you like to volunteer or share your ideas for the conference? We’d love to hear from you or answer any questions you might have. We still have slots open on the committee and will be looking for help with the juried, open, and instructor shows, and more.

We’re thrilled to be bringing the conference to Portland, and we hope to see you there in 2027.
