Renee’s foundation in fashion design began in childhood, when her grandmother first taught her to sew. She immediately fell in love with the craft and, then alongside her mother, an artist, created many one-of-a-kind pieces to wear.
She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), and her professional experience includes several years of design and pattern-making in the garment industry, followed by 14 years in costume design for film, television, and commercials.
In 2013, Renée followed her passion for sharing creativity with the next generation and opened A Day of Sewing. Today, she teaches students of all ages, offering fashion camps for kids, workshops for adults, and private lessons, creating a space where creativity, confidence, and hands-on skills come together.
