Description: Twills are among the most versatile and rewarding weave structures, offering endless design possibilities. While the sheer range of twill variations can feel daunting, it’s also what makes them so much fun to explore. In this seminar, we’ll begin with the essentials, starting with straight draw and point twills, then moving on to broken, undulating, M&W, Dornick, plaited, and turned twills. With these foundations in place, the seminar progresses to more advanced challenges. We’ll explore advancing and network-drafted twills before diving into the wide world of parallel twills, including corkscrew and manifold twills, echo weave effects, and double diagonal twills.
