Description: This class is designed for those who have some experience with Rigid Heddle or 4-Harness weaving who want to try something new and be able to plan their own projects with confidence.
Class topics:
- project planning considerations
- weaving tips
- yarn choices
- fiber properties
- sett
- calculating yarn quantities (warp & weft)
- weave structures
- colors, adding stripes, etc.
We will discuss several basic projects and students are welcome to bring yarn that want to work with. As time allows, we can work on students individual project planning.
