Description: Name drafting is a loose set of design techniques that starts with a name, word or phrase and translates it into a pattern. Most often weavers see it applied to overshot designing, but there are not limits to how it can be applied. What could be more personal than a baby’s name encoded in a lace blanket or a special message encrypted in the colors of a scarf? In this interactive class, we’ll play with different techniques and generate lots of drafts and inspiration for future projects!
