In this immersive, one-day intensive, we will master the technical art of 3D wet felting to create a pair of stunning, seamless lanterns. Using specialized 3D resists, we will explore how to manipulate wool and silk to create vessels that are both structural and translucent.
This workshop is designed for those who want to dive deep into the science of shrinkage and the architecture of felt. By the end of the day, you will have completed two distinct lanterns—perfect for adding a touch of artisan warmth to any room.
What You Will Learn:
- **The 3D Resist Method:** How to design and use templates to create hollow, seamless forms.
- **Translucency & Light:** Choosing the right fibers and layout density to allow light to filter beautifully through the felt.
