Description: This program offers a 3 hour discussion with examples of some of the best information available regarding your weaving equipment: Looms in general, shafts, treadles, reeds, shuttles, benches and tips/tricks to help you achieve a better handwoven product…and make you feel more comfortable at your loom (ergonomics).
Weavers of all levels will benefit from this discussion of the tools that are so important to our work and my best responses have come from 40+ year weavers who ‘never knew that’. I’ve repaired and rehabilitated looms for twenty-five years and have worked on nearly every make and model available, even if the makers are no longer in business. This past couple of years I’ve had the opportunity to write blogs on all of the above for Handwoven Magazine and have now compiled many of these tips into a focused program for guilds and groups.
