Erica McCurdy is a textile artist, weaver, dyer, spinner, knitter and sewist. Currently, focused on painting and weaving with natural dyes, though that regularly includes spinning and sewing as well. She’s inspired by craftswomen and folk artists who bring aspects of their current living situation into their art or vice versa: art into the mundacity and magic of everyday life. She’s interested in making connections between the utilitarian and the frivolous and is motivated by the need to use her hands to process the world around her.
