Cheri Bywater

Cheri Bywater is a fiber-arts educator, writer, and co-owner of Textile Indie.
She helps fiber artists build creative momentum by teaching the “behind-the-scenes” skills that make it easier to share their work with the world—photography, branding, color strategy, and simple business systems. Cheri’s workshops are practical, encouraging, and designed to give makers the tools they need to show up confidently both online and in their creative lives. Drawing on years of experience in teaching, communication, and creative business development, she focuses on the skills fiber artists often wish someone had taught them sooner: how to photograph fiber art beautifully, develop an authentic brand, create a cohesive color palette, set up an online shop, and cultivate confidence in sharing their work. Her teaching style is warm, supportive, and highly actionable—students leave with clear steps they can use immediately and a renewed sense of their creative identity.
