So, we’ve shared the plans for Thursday (the fashion show), and Friday (Caroline Browne and Alexandria McKean’s talk about the new version of the Green Book), and that leads up to Saturday.
Saturday evening we’ll gather for dinner in the evening followed by a keynote address from Madelyn van der Hoogt.

At this point we’d like to tell you a little about Madelyn, but where does one start? There’s so much to tell! She first learned to weave in the 70’s, and in 1984 founded the Weavers’ School. Her career in publishing began in 1986 when she became editor of Prarie Wool Companion, then moved in 1988 to Weaver’s magazine. Later, in 1999, she become editor of Handwoven magazine. After 13 years at Handwoven she left to focus her energy on teaching and her own writing. Her book, The Complete Book of Drafting for Handweavers, can be found in many weaver’s libraries. She’s been weaving and teaching for well more than 40 years, and we’re thrilled to have her join us to share her thoughts on weaving. We can’t wait for her talk. You’ll want to join us for this wonderful closing night event.
Next up, we’ll start sharing news about all the various ways you can participate in the conference.
