The Time Has Finally Arrived!

Today’s the day. It’s finally here. The news you’ve all been waiting for has arrived.

We’re ready to announce our instructors and sessions for next year’s conference!

You’ll notice that some familiar names are on the instructor list. ANWG favorites Robyn Spady, Jennifer Moore, and Rosalie Neilson will be joining us. You’ll also find folks who haven’t been at ANWG in a while, if ever, like Tom Knisely and John Mullarkey. There’s 50 instructors teaching at the conference next year. You’re sure to find a favorite instructor in Portland next year, and hopefully discover a new favorite as well.

You’ll also notice that we’ve changed things up this year. In the past the workshops have been held Monday – Thursday, and half-day seminars have been Friday and Saturday. This year we’re mixing things up a bit. There are some workshops that will be held on Friday and Saturday, and a few seminars that are held earlier in the week. We hope that mixing up the offerings a little will allow everyone to take part in a workshop, and that the extra seminars help folks fill in their schedules while leaving time to do other fun things in and around Portland. (More about that later.)

You’ll also notice some sessions with the ZOOM designation in the schedule. This year we’re hoping to include folks who aren’t able to travel to Portland by offering some online sessions. Yes, you’ll miss out on the sense of community by not being here in person. But we love all of our ANWG family members, and we know that not everyone will be able to make it to Portland. This allows us to include some of those folks, too.

And in addition to having participants in the remote sessions it gave us an opportunity to include some instructors who weren’t able to join us as well. Canadian instructors Janet Dawson and Laura Fry are in the schedule, as well as Debby Greenlaw from South Carolina and Helen Leaf all the way from the UK.

There is lots to choose from, with over 100 different sessions. We’re hoping that everyone is able to find something that interests them and entices them to join us next year.
