Description: Many fiber artists don’t struggle with ideas; they struggle with momentum. Projects stall in the “messy middle,” comparison sneaks in, and it becomes difficult to finish work or share it confidently. This workshop gives makers an active, repeatable system for navigating the creative cycle so they can keep creating without burnout or perfectionism. This is not a lecture. Throughout the day, participants will work directly on their own creative practice, moving through a series of guided exercises that build real skills. They will map where they are in the creative cycle, identify friction points, and learn practical tools for moving through stuck phases without quitting. They’ll redefine what finished means for their work, analyze patterns in past projects to clarify their creative voice, and build a personalized creative rhythm they can sustain in real life. The class also includes structured opportunities to practice sharing their work with confidence without apologizing, minimizing, or overexplaining. Each activity builds toward a tangible outcome. By the end of the workshop, participants will leave with a complete Creative Practice Toolkit, a set of personalized maps, checklists, decision filters, and rhythms they can use to keep projects moving, finish more often, trust their creative identity, and maintain momentum.
