Tablets from Zero to Sulawesi

Unlock the mysteries of tablet weaving! Using several related techniques that all have a single pattern thread in each card, we will explore the basic principles of tablet weaving. Students will work through a series of exercises, starting with simple diagonal lines, then progressing to the geometric 4×4, and its cousin, Coptic diamonds. Finally, we will tackle Sulawesi, which offers the potential for elaborate and elegant designs. While this class is designed for beginners, it is suitable for anyone who wants a deeper understanding of the mechanics of tablet weaving.
