One of the few living tablet weaving traditions in the world is found in Uzbekistan. The tablet woven trim they make, called Jiyak, breaks nearly all the “rules” of typical tablet weaving. Using rectangular cards with only 2 holes, cablework designs are made by moving the position of cards within the deck. Simple to weave but with a dramatic effect, this class is suitable for novice tablet weavers, as well as those with more experience who are interested in trying something a little different.

- Pair of warping pegs or clamps that can be used for warping. (Instructor will have extras available.)
- Magnetic pattern holder, if you like to use one. (Instructor will provide moveable tape.)
- Narrow sley hook
