Tablet weaving uses very simple equipment yet produces complex and sophisticated designs and structures. In this seminar we will explore how the tablets work, and why, as well as explore the differences in approach between modern and historical tablet weaving. Attendees are encouraged to bring questions and participate in the discussion. There will be a demo of the variables, samples of how the variables produce different techniques, and an opportunity for participants to experiment with several warps.
