Overshot is much more than most think. In this class, participants will be introduced to the anatomy of overshot patterns, including the role of the twill circle and fundamentals of developing treadling sequences known as ‘star’ and ‘rose’ fashion. Exploration of techniques for creating new patterns and variations will be covered. Methods to evolve the overshot threading into other weaves for future projects, including shadow weave, thick n thin, and overshot-patterned double weave will be presented.
