The base of the basket (the focal point) consists of 36 twill blocks created with six bold colors. The sides continue the twill block pattern using black. Striking! Teacher will provide a wide choice of paper*, hand-painted in bright colors and precut.
Prerequisite: Experience with twills is required. Paper weaving experience is helpful.
*Artist painted paper is 140# watercolor paper that has been painted, sealed with acrylics and cut into strips.

- A small packing tool – a small thin, flat screw driver works. (Instructor will have 3mm packing tools available for purchase.)
- Toothless micro clips (Instructor will have some available for purchase.)
- Quilting Clips (clear plastic kind)
- Paper scissors (smaller, for detail work)
- Tapestry Needles (#22 & #24)
- A straight edge ruler
- A flexible tape measure
- Optional – personal task light

Materials Included: The material fee includes artist painted paper and all materials to make one basket. Student will receive a laminated weaving board and a full color printed pattern.
