I used cotton (8/2, 8/4, unmarked) and wool (unmarked), sett was between 10 and 24 EPI. Samplers were hand washed and ironed first & machine washed after being sewed. There were as many challenges as one can imagine, as the samplers are the first weaves. For example, the front upper (white & purple) piece is the very first project on a multi harness floor loom that I did following Deborah Chandler’s Learning to Weave book. I lost a cross in the middle of warping, but was able to recover and dress the loom.
Garment Design: I don’t really know the sewing terminology nor techniques – I simply took a needle and stitched the pieces together.

Filip Jakub Zachoval, SWG, Seattle, WA Name: Sampler PonchoMade for: MSize: MFabric info: woven, felted (one section)The garment consists of six samplers, 3 were woven on a 4-shaft table loom, 1 on a 4-shaft floor loom, 1 on a rigid heddle loom, 1 on an 8-shaft loom.
