Description: <\/strong>One of my goals this year is to embrace my heritage. My great grandfather on my father’s side was Alvin Sunholm. He was a Swede Finn and he loved to garden. I wanted to honor this and when I found out that the national flower of Finland is the Lily of the Valley I was thrilled. My grandparents on my mother’s side had Lily of the Valley flowers along the north side of their house. This is such a good memory for me. I found a simple Lily of the Valley clip art online and designed my project. I chose the Rya knot weaving technique which has a long tradition in Scandinavia.
