The colors were inspired from an ancient Chinese porcelain bowl which was pictured in my calendar for 2024. See photo.
Textile Finishing: Wash on gentle/cold in the washing machine.
Textile Challenges: See photo of warping. A novel process for me, I decided to tie onto a dummy warp which saved some warp waste and allowed me to design the stripes as I went. It was a bit scary with threads going every which way with my precious hand painted warp. In the end it all went on relatively smoothly and my well thought out process actually worked!
Garment Construction: No special tailoring other that doing a practice tunic with commercial fabric to make sure size and fit was good. I did alter the seams to accommodate the handwoven and prevent unraveling.
Lining: No lining. Just small bit of interfacing around neck.
Special Features: Only embellishment is the hand bag. I certainly learned a few things along the way!

Tracy Livernois, Eugene Weavers Guild, Eugene, OR Winner: Best Interpretation of Conference Theme, sponsored by ANWG 2025 Name/Description: Striped Tunic.Made For?: WomanSize: SFabric Construction: WovenFabric Construction – Other:Woven Structure: Woven on a J Made floor loom. 8 Shafts used..
