The warp was ice-dyed with Procion Fiber Reactive Dye in the colors Raven, Timberwolf, and Periwinkle. My collaborator, Cathy Barnes, provided the warp, dyes, instructions, and location for the ice-dyeing event. The 12-shaft twill draft is Handweaving.net #38021. I wove the scarf on my 12-shaft Macomber floor loom.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><strong>Description<\/strong>: I dyed the warp in this scarf at an ice-dyeing event conducted by the Eugene Weavers&#8217; Guild. Although cotton, the warp is as soft as wool but not irritating. The navy Tencel weft enhances the scarf&#8217;s drape. In the ice-dyeing process, the dyes split into their various pigments. I was delighted with the tones of blue that resulted, with occasional appearances of plum and green.
