Warp<\/strong>: combined Denali Fingering weight yarn from Teton Yarn Company (Merino, Yak & silk), 20\/2 doubled Jagger Spun Wool, Hand dyed sock yarn, and handspun Llama.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
Weft<\/strong>: Front and back jacket is Alpaca; remainder of garment Jagger Spun silk and wool (2 di\ufb00erent dye lots)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
Description: <\/strong>The inspiration came from the beautiful yarn I purchased from Teton Yarn Company last year. This beautiful color and yarn took me to explore the weaving shelf for more color and texture to be incorporated into the warp. The weft of alpaca started with a gift from a friend of the correct weight and shade, however, thinking I had enough, I ran out after 2 yards. Going back to the shelf I found a similar shade of 18\/2 Jagger Spun and was happy with that until it too ran out. OOPS another cone came, but wasn’t the right shade, so I dyed what I needed with co\ufb00ee, almost perfect!! I usually try to weave a little bit at the ends of my warp of either di\ufb00erent treadling or adding color, not knowing if it will work into the finished garment.
