Three-dimensional piece, measuring 15.5″ high (including turntable) X 8.75″ wide. It is lit from within by a battery-operated string of fairy lights placed in an acrylic box. This piece has 6 woven transparencies, all woven in a continual strip that were separated into individual panels and applied to each side of a wooden framework. One panel is hinged using its background fabric and has an upcycled button handle. The framework is supported on one corner where three sides come together. That corner has a dowel running through it with one end attached to the base and the other end supporting the acrylic box inside the cube. The base sits on an electric turntable.

The framework and stand were made by my husband to my specifications.

Carol Kaminsky, Desert Fiber Arts, Kennewick, WA Material and Technique: Woven on a 15” Rigid Heddle Loom of Wet Spun 20/2 Linen half bleached and Simply Cotton sport weight in ‘Marshmallow’.
