You’ll wind your warp onto your loom at home but finish threading in class (details to come). Students will learn how to thread both heddles, insert pick up sticks and then weave a sampler that includes weaving two separate pieces of cloth at the same time, connecting those pieces to weave a double width, and then weaving a tube! Using the same warp, you’ll weave a small bag using these techniques.

Day two is all about using twills. Translating 4 shaft patters into rigid heddle threadings using two heddles, pick-up sticks and a heddle rod (that we will make in class).

Using the same yarns as day 1, but changing the threading and warp color sequence, you’ll start to warp your loom at the end of day one or in day two (depending on time).
