See details and timeline below.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Are you interested in becoming a student in this class, but don\u2019t have a connection to a local ANWG guild?&nbsp;Go to &nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/northwestweavers.org\/guild-index\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>https:\/\/northwestweavers.org\/guild-index\/<\/strong><\/a>&nbsp;for a list of member guilds and use the link provided to make a connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Students awarded scholarships will need to make their own travel and stay arrangements.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The class itself.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Learn to Weave! is a four-session class held during the conference, June 19-21, 2025<em>.<\/em>&nbsp;Complete beginners will learn how to set up and weave on a 4-shaft table loom. Marjy Fiddler and a team of volunteers will provide the instruction, looms, tools, and fibers for the twelve participants. Students&nbsp;will learn to wind a warp, warp a loom&nbsp;, weave several different weave structures, and cut-off \u2013 with instructions for finishing.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Note that classes start Thursday in the afternoon \u2013 participants will need to arrive and register Thursday morning. Classes continue&nbsp;Friday morning, Friday afternoon and Saturday morning. Students need to commit to all four sessions. All but note-taking supplies and a scissors will be provided, although we\u2019ll send those enrolled a list of optional items to bring if easily available.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Nomination\/ Application Process<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">A nomination process separate from conference registration has been set up for the Learn to Weave! Workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">A\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2025\/learn-to-weave-nomination-form\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"22624\"><strong>Nomination form<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is to be filled out by a current ANWG guild member and requests information about who is being nominated and a short recommendation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">On receipt of the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/learn-to-weave-nomination-form\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"22624\">Nomination form<\/a><\/strong>, an Application form will be sent to the person nominated, to be completed with their information and a short statement of interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">The deadline for the combined Nomination\/Application is March 23<sup>rd<\/sup>, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If there are more than 12 applicants, students will be selected by a random drawing.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Notification to all applicants will be sent by April 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Students who are accepted will be sent information about registration, and need to confirm and register by April 7<sup>th<\/sup>, 2025.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">A waitlist will be established and maintained.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Questions can be addressed to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:learn-to-weave@anwgconference.org\">Marjy Fiddler<\/a>.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Why is ANWG sponsoring this event?&nbsp;<br>Weavers want more weavers in the world!<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is this event?
