Whether&nbsp;you are inspired to weave, felt, dye, spin, braid or combine several skills together, this show is&nbsp;for you. Try a new technique and tell us about your journey of exploration. The 2025 ANWG conference is about&nbsp;inspiration, innovation and information. Carry those ideas into your chosen work of art.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Requirements&nbsp;<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Entries will be accepted between February 1 and May 16, 2025<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Entries will be accepted only from ANWG guild members, or affiliate members of&nbsp;ANWG. Entrants are responsible for getting their entry to and from the conference but do not need to be conference attendees.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>One entry per person or group<\/strong>. Any eligible person may participate as an individual, a&nbsp;member of a group, or both.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">If more than one person collaborated on a single item, all parties must be&nbsp;acknowledged.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Acceptable Entries<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Entries must be original and have been completed within the last 2 years. Entries from kits are not acceptable. An original&nbsp;creation is defined as the manipulation of a draft, pattern or design or its color way with or&nbsp;without other fiber or surface design alterations. If the draft or pattern is unaltered,&nbsp;the source must be given acknowledgement. For example: Draft from&nbsp;handwoven.net&nbsp;#63438.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Entry may be:&nbsp;\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">handwoven yardage or garment, accessory or home decor including baskets,&nbsp;braids and wall art. All interlacing, felt or surface design techniques welcomed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">composed of any natural or man-made, commercial, hand-spun or recycled fiber,&nbsp;metal, paper, plastic, plant material, animal hide or fleece.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Entry must be:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">limited in size as large wall hangings or sculptural pieces may not be able to be displayed properly.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">ready to display with appropriate instructions and hardware. Hangers will be supplied.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Entry Procedure<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Complete Entry Payment Form ($5 for each Open Show entry)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Complete Online Entry form with images and full description.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Entry must be accompanied by a photo in pdf or jpeg format and dimensions. Photo files should be no larger than 5 mb each.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">You can refer to&nbsp;an article in Sept\/Oct 2023 of&nbsp;<em>Handwoven<\/em>&nbsp;by Kelly Casanova for advice on how to photograph your work, or take a look at the summary of that article&nbsp;by&nbsp;Gretchen Schlomann of Whidbey Weavers Guild, available on our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2025\/working-with-photos\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"22190\">Working with Photos<\/a><\/strong> page. That page also has simple instructions for resizing photos to meet the 5 mb maximum photo size requirement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Entry should also include a description of 200 words or less of the piece and what inspired you to&nbsp;create it. This description along with a photo or other identifier will be&nbsp;displayed on the conference website and linked by a QR code&nbsp;available only at the conference.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Timeline<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\">Entry form including image, description and $5 fee must be received by May 16, 2025. Entrants are responsible for getting entry to and from the ANWG conference. Entries may be either mailed (shipped) or hand-delivered.\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>MAIL or SHIP&nbsp;<\/strong>your item via UPS or USPS. Entry must be sent to the address on the entry form and must be received no later&nbsp;than June 5, 2025.&nbsp;A prepaid return label for your preferred method of shipment must be included.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>HAND DELIVER<\/strong> your item directly to the conference between 4 PM Monday, June 16, 2025 and 5 PM Wednesday, June 18, 2025. Entries not received by that time shall not be hung nor will an entry fee be refunded.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\">Entries will be returned to you or your designated party on the last day of the&nbsp;conference between 6 PM and 10 PM Saturday, June 21 at a TBD location. Later&nbsp;pickups (if any) TBD.
