Thursday, June 19 – Day 4

Today is a big day. We welcome 200 more participants. The Marketplace opens for a conference preview when setup is complete ~ around 4:30 pm. At 6:00 pm, we begin to gather for the Fashion Show, which is our first evening event. The party includes a dessert buffet and a no-host bar.

Nametags Required

Should you meet members of the Whatcom Weavers’ Guild, do let them know what you like best about your nametag holder. Whatcom weavers mobilized over the past 18 months to design, sample and produce all of our nametag holders in conference colors. The pattern weave is a modified version of a draft called Hopvine in Davison’s A Handweaver’s Pattern Book. Thank you weavers and sewists!

  • Please wear your nametag at all conference events.
  • Nametags help us learn our new friends’ names.
  • Nametags identify wearers as conference participants.
    • Nametags with open space at the top right identify full conference package purchases, which include all evening events. If your nametag contains only name and guild identification, it means you registered for everything.
    • Nametags with writing at the top right identify individual events that the wearer selected (e.g. FASHION, SHOPPING, or BANQUET).

Conference Hours

8:00 am – 9:00 pm Conference services open at 8:00 am. In the evening, the Convention Center will be cleared and locked. Workshop equipment can be stored on site.

Registration 8:00 – 6:00 pm

Workshops 9:00 – 4:30 pm

Info Desk 8:00 – 6:00 pm

  • Volunteers check in here. Pick up volunteer aprons.
  • Up to the minute volunteer opportunities.
  • Carts and Wagons available for loan.
  • Find Yakima area information.
  • Find your lost things at the Lost and Found.
  • First Aid Station.

Guild Booths

12:00 – 3:00 pm Set up in the Vendor Hall Rooms E,F and Lobby 4
3:00 – 5:00 pm Judging

Towel Time Event

4:00 – 5:30 pm Towel Drop Off in Lobby 3-4 between the two doorways for Room E.

Marketplace

~4:30 pm The Marketplace, Rooms E & F, will open for conference attendees. The open time will be contingent upon full set-up.

Fashion Show

  • The Fashion Show is a ticketed event. Please wear your nametag. (Nametags with open space at the top right identify full conference package purchases, which include all evening events.)
  • 6:00 pm Doors open on Rooms C & D. There will be a no host bar and dessert buffet.
  • 6:30 pm Start finding seats
  • 6:50 pm Opening Ceremony
  • 7:00 pm – 9:00 “The Webs We Wear” Fashion Show
