Material & Technique: Hand dyed wool using acid dyes. The blue and white were dyed as weft Ikat. Both tapestry and rug techniques were used.
Description: This piece was inspired by a weft faced Ikat workshop given by Marjy Fiddler. After learning the basics of Weft Ikat, I then used that weft along with other hand dyed yarn to weave using tapestry and rug techniques. I have been weaving tapestries since the 1980s.
