Material & Technique: Scoured silk organza, dyed with natural Madder using Itajime Shibori technique.
Description:This piece was inspired by Shibori clamping techniques and a scoured design combined to create a web-like design. It reminds me of Hawaiian bark cloth designs. I have even dyeing and painting on silk for 7 years. I especially love all different Shibori techniques and like house a variety of acid and fiber-reactive dyes, and more recently tried natural dyes.
