Woven Structure: Six shaft houndstooth twill. I used zephyr wool/silk blend from Jagger Spun. It was made on a 44″, 8 shaft Fireside Fiberarts loom.
Yarn Details and SETT: Zephyr is 2/18 lace weight both warp and weft sett at 24 epi.

Textile Finishing: The fabric was wet finished in warm water, then ironed on silk setting.
Textile Challenges: One challenge was changing bobbins evety six picks. I carried the dark brown up the side, but had to change bobbins for all the other colors. The biggest challenge was to beat evenly enough that the check pattern matched across the front of the vest.
Garment Construction: I used a McCall’s pattern, but it did not require any special sewing techniques.
Lining: The front lining was interfaced with lightweight fusible interfacing.
