Yarn Details and SETT: 2/32 Merino wool warp sett at 15 epi1450 yards per pound Rayon chenille weft, 18 ppi

Textile Finishing: Fulled in washing machine, dried on “air” setting to desired texture, then air dried.
Textile Challenges: Although the wool/Rayon combination is lighter weight than an all-rayon fabric would be, it still took a very long time to dry.
Garment Construction: I made this cocoon jacket from stash yardage I wove 15 years, and based it loosely on Virginia West’s cocoon design in her book Designer Diagonals. I simplified the design as much as possible to feature the fuzzy fabric over the design lines seams would have added.
