Made For?: Woman
Size: L
Fabric Construction: Woven
Fabric Construction – Other: hand dyed rayon piping
Woven Structure: The structure is a snowflake twill from the Best of Weavers Twill Thrills book. It is 8 shafts woven on a Schacht floor loom. The piping is hand dyed commercial rayon fabric. Warp threads were used for couching on the piping.
Yarn Details and SETT: 10/2 cotton yarns in warp and weft. I do not have document of the sett. The warp is stripes of reds, fuschia, purple and black. The weft is black.
Handspun Details:
Stitches:

Special Treatments: The piping is commercial rayon fabric dyed with Fiber reactive dye. Warp yarns were couched to the piping by zigzag stitching.
Textile Finishing: It was wet finished – hand washed then dried in the dryer.
Textile Challenges:
Garment Construction:
The jacket started out as a top that I never liked so I cut it down the front to make the jacket and modified the collar. I made it smaller to fit the scale of the jacket. Warp yarns were couched to the piping fabric before it was cut.
Lining: A small amount of lightweight interfacing is around the neckline.
Special Features: The piping as described above.
Pattern:
Garment Challenges: The only challenge was applying seam finishes at the neckline and sleeves when I changed it into a jacket where the seams were visible.
