Woven Structure: This coat uses three treadlings of 4-shaft huck lace woven on a LeClerc Artisat floor loom.
Yarn Details and SETT: The warp and weft are 10/3 mercerized cotton set at 20epi and woven at 20ppi The warp is purple and the weft is royal blue.

Textile Finishing: The fabric was wet finished in a front-loading washer and a dryer. It was hard pressed using a flatbed iron.
Textile Challenges:
Garment Construction: The coat pattern is adapted from an existing jacket. The seams feature a Hong Kong finish. The front opening and collar have a bias binding woven in a doubleweave tube.

Garment Challenges: The lace floats make it hard to successfully contain the raw edges of the fabric. Some hand stitching has been done to support the Hong Kong binding.
