Volunteer Time Slots Now Open!<\/strong><\/p>\n

We want to thank everyone who clicked the button indicating your willingness to volunteer some time during the conference. \u00a0We couldn’t put on this big show without your help. It’s now time to select your specific volunteer time slots.<\/p>\n

First, log into the registration website with your username and password: \u00a0https:\/\/www.rsvpbook.com\/anwg2023registration<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Scroll down to the bottom of the Sessions (after Seminars, Meetings and Activities) to find the volunteer offerings. The volunteer schedule is organized by day of the week. Click on the + sign to see the individual slots. \u00a0Please read the headings carefully.<\/strong> \u00a0Choose your preferred area named in the title, the job type, and your time slot. Most shifts are 2 hours, a few are 3 hours. Feel free to sign up for more than one time slot.<\/p>\n

If you select a time slot that conflicts with your existing workshops, seminars or activities, you will get a message telling you to select a different time slot.<\/p>\n

Take Advantage of all the Conference has to Offer<\/strong><\/p>\n

Many fun and exciting events and activities are happening at the Conference:<\/p>\n

You will find demonstrations, door prizes, exhibits, and places to sit and chat with friends to spin, weave, and knit.\u00a0 There will be a reception for the Johansen Tapestry exhibit at the Central Oregon Community College Barber Library on Monday, June 12, 5:30-7:30 PM.\u00a0 Vans will be making round trips between the Riverhouse Convention Center and COCC during this time at no charge to you.\u00a0 You are welcome to drive, the library is 4 miles southwest of the Riverhouse complex and parking is free.\u00a0 We encourage everyone to attend the exhibit during conference week.\u00a0\"\"<\/p>\n

Meetings of groups such as Complex Weavers, the ANWG Annual Membership Meeting, HGA Certificate of Excellence, Jane Stafford\u2019s School of Weaving, and the ANWG History and Tapestry Study Groups are happening on Friday and Saturday.\u00a0 The towel exchange is proving to be very popular as is the Noh coat parade at the end of the must-see Fashion Show on Saturday evening.<\/p>\n

A special event after the banquet on Friday is our Keynote Speaker, Jeanne Carver of Shaniko Wool Company, Maupin, Oregon.\u00a0 Jeanne is a wonderful, warm, energetic person whose story is one of world leadership in the demanding sphere of American wool production and sustainability.\u00a0 Tickets are now available for only the keynote address in the registration system, $25.<\/p>\n

Reminder:\u00a0 <\/strong>Red Lion hotel room conference rate cut off is May 15, Element hotel is May 12.\u00a0 Linda Kubik\u2019s sewing with handwoven fabric workshops are being held at the Element hotel, 1.3 miles south of the Riverhouse complex.<\/p>\n
