{"id":4563,"date":"2022-10-26T15:35:51","date_gmt":"2022-10-26T15:35:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/anwgconference2023.com\/?p=4563"},"modified":"2023-04-05T12:39:46","modified_gmt":"2023-04-05T20:39:46","slug":"seminars-virtual-and-more","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2023\/seminars-virtual-and-more\/","title":{"rendered":"Seminars, Virtual and More"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Looking and feeling like fall now, must be just 8 months until conference week!<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019d like to highlight our outstanding presenters for the 4 virtual seminars offered on Friday and Saturday, June 16, 17, 2023.\u00a0 These intriguing seminar topics will be presented in a large classroom in the Riverhouse convention center for in-person attendance.\u00a0 You can choose these as part of your 3 seminars in the conference package.\u00a0 They will also be available to purchase as a Zoom only option for those not attending the conference.\u00a0 This option will be available during the a la carte registration period opening mid-April.\u00a0 Any available in-person seats will also be sold during this period.\u00a0 We are very excited to offer you access to these widely acclaimed instructors and hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn from them.<\/p>\n<p>Stacey Harvey-Brown from France will present her seminar:\u00a0 <em><a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2023\/\/optical-effects-with-log-cabin-shadow-weave-and-ddw-virtual\/\">Optical Effects with Log Cabin, Shadow Weave, and Deflected Doubleweave<\/a>. <\/em>Learn how to create complex woven optical effects using these weave structures. 3 hours.<\/p>\n<p>Denise Kovnat will provide a hands-on seminar making <a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2023\/\/dorset-buttons-a-heritage-craft\/\"><em>Dorset Buttons<\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 This seminar is limited to 30 attendees in person, as you will be making a button along with Denise and our in-room assistant.\u00a0 Supplies needed are listed online.\u00a0 3 hours.
