The weave structure of those layers can be whatever your loom and your imagination allows. Learn to design fabric with 2 or more layers that form patterns, exchange positions, are stitched together, combine weave structures, or open up into 3 dimensional shapes. \u201cDesigning Layers\u201d is for the multi-shaft weaver who wants to advance their understanding of double weave by using weaving software to design a variety layered fabrics. In addition, the technical issues surrounding weaving layers will be discussed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both a clear understanding of the various ways to weave layered cloth and exactly how to use WeavePoint to assist in the design process are what this workshop is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leader:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2023\/\/jannie-taylor\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1006\">Jannie Taylor<\/a><\/strong><br><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a02 days<br><strong>Level:<\/strong>\u00a0Intermediate to Advanced &#8211; student should be fairly proficient in basic drafting and have some experience using weaving software.<br><strong><strong><strong><strong>Student supplies to bring:<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0Laptop computer that can run a Windows based program, i.e WeavePoint. It is possible to run WeavePoint on a MAC, but this should tested before the workshop. I can offer assistance in getting this working for any MAC users.
