Apply this stash-busting technique to any threading and learn the thought process that will lead to endless possibilities for creating magic cloth. Participants will draft, weave, and crimp their samples in class.&nbsp;&nbsp;Learn how the fabric can be used for one-size-fits-all garments that flatter any figure, scarves and shawls that won\u2019t slide off your shoulders, and knit-look ribbing for a sweater or jacket collar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Leader:<\/strong> <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/anwgconference.org\/archive\/2023\/\/diane-totten\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"998\">Dianne Totten<\/a><\/strong><br><strong>Duration:<\/strong>\u00a03 days<br><strong>Level:<\/strong>\u00a0Adventurous Beginner and Beyond<br><strong>Equipment\/supplies needed:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Floor or Table Loom &#8211; 4 or more shafts&nbsp;dressed according to the Workshop Preparation Information<\/li><li>Weft yarn:&nbsp;&nbsp;<ul><li>For&nbsp;<strong>warp<\/strong>&nbsp;crimp:&nbsp;&nbsp;a variety of fibers and colors in sizes 8\/2 and finer.&nbsp;&nbsp;Here\u2019s a&nbsp;chance to use from your stash.<\/li><\/ul><ul><li>For&nbsp;<strong>weft<\/strong>&nbsp;crimp:&nbsp;&nbsp;polyester or Orlon (Source list will be provided to registrants)<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li><strong><em>Pattern yarn&nbsp;<\/em><\/strong>for weft:&nbsp;&nbsp;any strong, smooth yarn.&nbsp;<\/li><li>2 Shuttles&nbsp;<\/li><li>Several bobbins<\/li><li>Usual items needed to repair a broken warp<\/li><li>Heddle hook<\/li><li>Scissors (small with a good snipping point, if you have one)<\/li><li>A bobbin winder (we\u2019ll need a few for the workshop, bring your own if you wish)<\/li><li>Straight pins, safety pins<\/li><li>Tape measure<\/li><li>2 dowels or narrow flat sticks at least 2\u201d longer than the warp width in the reed but narrow enough to wind onto your cloth beam.&nbsp;&nbsp;Bring an extra dowel or stick if you are doing warp crimp.&nbsp;&nbsp;Sticks need to be strong enough to hold the tension of the warp.&nbsp;&nbsp;Also, bring a strong cord for lashing the stick to the front beam.<\/li><li>Fray Check \u2013 no substitutes.
