Here’s an opportunity to enjoy all those precious fabric scraps you’ve been saving by making a useful and beautiful drawstring bag! Using Judilee’s stash of vintage fabrics and kimono silks, as well as whatever handwoven samples, project leftovers, or beloved scraps you’d like to transform, you’ll construct a four-sided drawstring bag completely unique to you. You’ll learn seam options to stabilize handwoven fabrics, methods for piecing scraps into larger fabric blocks, how to insert a lining and sew a casing, charming drawstringfinishes, and embroidered embellishment techniques.
All necessary patterns and materials will be provided. Students are encouraged to bring fabric scraps they would like to use and enjoy.
