Marketplace Vendors

Here’s the list of vendors who you’ll find in the marketplace at the conference. Space is still available. If you’d like to sign up to be a vendor check out the Marketplace Vendor information page.

The Marketplace will be open to Conference attendees only on Thursday, June 15 from Noon – 5 PM, and will be open for a special Shopping Extravaganza sponsored by Heddlecraft Magazine for conference package purchasers and a la carte ticket purchasers from 5 – 9 PM. The Marketplace will be open to the general public on Friday 9 – 6, and Saturday 9 – 5.

Above the Fray ventures to the hill-tribe regions of Laos and Vietnam to personally select the world’s most exquisite hand-woven, naturally-dyed silk, cotton, and hemp textiles directly from the hill tribe artisans.  Our diverse selection of shawls, scarves and other art is woven on village-raised materials using traditional looms.  Each textile is carefully chosen for quality, and a photo of the artist with that one-of-a-kind piece is often available.  We also offer traditional jewelry, baskets, tools, and ritual art.  Visit our booth to learn about and enjoy hill tribe art and culture!

BerlinBraids is all about narrow wares, especially, Kumihimo and other braiding techniques. Peter makes marudais and bobbins from interesting hardwoods. Shirley makes kits and writes booklets to introduce the unsuspecting public to what can be both an afternoon’s entertainment for a 6-year old and the passion of a lifetime.

The Berlins will be joined on the stand at ANWG by Ruth MacGregor, Spinning Forth.com. She’ll be bringing, spindles, dyed silk, shuttles and other small weaving equipment, including an original carding drum. She makes kits for Fill-Gap braids and Tablet Weaving for beginners.

Eugene Textile Center is a fiber arts destination.  We carry yarn for weaving and knitting, dyed and natural fiber – including wools, alpaca, silk, mohair, cotton, flax, and others.  We also carry weaving and spinning equipment like looms, spinning wheels, shuttles, reeds, benches, hand cards, combs, swifts, and lots of books and magazines.  We also have a selection of chemical and natural dyes and mordants.

Fancywork Yarn Shop is Central Oregon’s home for exceptional yarn, swoon-worthy accessories and gifts, woolly inspiration, and cozy, warm community.  In addition to time-honored workhorse yarns and much-loved standards, Fancywork specializes in hand-dyed, independent and American yarns as well as carefully curated specialty yarns from abroad.  We’re conveniently located between the East and West sides of Bend in the Maker’s District.  Our hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-5pm, and Sunday & Monday, 11am-3pm.

Imperial Stock Ranch – Shaniko Wool Company is a branded and certified program of American Merino wool. The wool comes from Merino and Merino/Rambouillet sheep raised in the Great Basin Region of the American west. Shaniko Wool Company is the first U.S. Farm Group to supply certified wool under the Responsible Wool Standard (RWS), developed by Textile Exchange. We established the Farm Group to scale the economics and supply of RWS-certified U.S. wool available to U.S. brands.

Shuttle Creek Weaving produces one-of-a-kind coats as well as jackets, vests and jumpers in beautiful and unique color motifs made from hand woven cotton fabric.  The distinctive tailoring of these vivid garments is what sets them apart.  Subtle shaping produces wearable art that feels comfortable and looks fashionable.

Rayon chenille is woven on a durable cotton warp to produce lovely drape and luxurious hand.  Hooded ruanas and shawls from this fabric are soft and sumptuous.

We are a full service alpaca ranch and fiber processing mill.  We produce custom spun artisan yarns, gel sheets, rugs, trivets and coasters.  We also make roving and batts.  We also carry USA-made socks, gloves, scarves and hats from USA alpaca farms and alpaca-themed fits and souvenirs.

Teresa Ruch Designs has been in production since 1997. Originally focused on weaving, the yarn has become a larger part of our business in the last 10 years. I maintain an emphasis on color and hand in both the yarn/fiber, weaving and dyeing, specializing in hand dyed/painted tencel yarns in 3 weights in warps or skeins and upcycled Shibori dyed leather accessories.

I have a passion for color and this shows in my work. I like color on color, pattern on color and the subtle sheen of fibers like tencel. I enjoy creating a certain drape in my fabrics to get the special effects that are not often found in commercial fabrics. I use this drape to create garments that are a delight to wear.

Tylar Merrill’s mission is to offer charm and elegance to everyday looks by creating beautiful, one-of-a-kind garments and accessories that bring style and uniqueness to your life.  Tylar has worked as a fiber artist for over 50 years.  Her fashion collection includes a wide range of garment styles and accessories based on the nuno felting technique.  All designs are original and are made from start to finish in her studio, Thimbleberry Felt Designs in Eugene, Oregon.  Each piece carries her label which gives care instructions and guarantees her workmanship and originality of her creations.
