Writing for Weaver’s Magazine was a joy, an honor and a challenge. Weaver’s Whimsy was a regular column in Weaver’s Magazine published between 1988 and 1993.
The lecture will include anecdotal information about the earliest idea for the column to the challenge of remaining whimsical while still giving magazine readers something useful. Also ‘behind the scenes’ information will be given about some of the projects woven to illustrate the Weavers Whimsy articles. While some of the projects and articles were barely whimsical, some of the topics were hilarious! Many of the woven items illustrating the articles will be available for participants to appreciate.
