Do you want to extend your spinning yardage, create textured yarns; add beads, sequins or even feathers to your yarn? Learn to ply with thread! In this class you’ll learn to choose a thread with confidence, ply a balanced or spiraled yarn, and add beads, sequins, even feathers to your spinning projects.

Level:Â Beginner Able to spin singles (balanced and/or thick and thin) & 2-ply, Intermediate, Advanced
Student supplies to bring: 50-100 yards each of at least 2 singles (see Pre-work), Spinning wheel with orifice large enough for beads to pass (smaller orifice may not be able to handle all techniques but you’ll still have fun!), Tools for 2 ply (bobbins, lazy kate and/or ballwinder), Scissors. Optional:​ niddy noddy; assorted beads, feathers, anything lightweight with a hole in it that you want to add into a yarn.
Materials Fee:Â $15 includes full spool rayon thread, beads and vintage sequins, feathers, bead needle and tray.
