There are many beautiful handwoven towels in Shaker museum collections; some of these were brought to the community by new converts but most were woven by Shaker weavers in the 18th and 19th centuries. In this round robin class, each intrepid weaver will sample Bronson, Huck, Ms & Os, Dimity and three kinds of Twill in linen and cotton. We will also learn about linen finishing, planning for shrinkage and distressing for an antique appearance.
